The brake switch opens the contact when the brake is applied, thereby activating the brake light on your scooter. If your existing contactor is defective or no longer switches properly, you can use this brake light contact to ensure that the brake light system functions reliably. The design as a «Öffner» is particularly important if precisely this switching function is provided on your vehicle, e.g. on models without a turn signal system.
