This housing screw—or tie rod—is used for the standard fastening of the two halves of your scooter’s engine housing. Unlike stud bolts, this housing bolt is not screwed into the engine housing itself, but is instead passed through the through-hole in both housing halves and then secured on one end. The opposite end features a head without a keyway and is equipped with an anti-rotation device. This allows the engine housing to be properly clamped, as is intended for numerous classic Vespa engines.
